Concealer Review Series Part #3

I haven't been as organised with this series as I would have liked so I'm sorry that. I have spent my Saturday writing and preparing posts which I'm going to start scheduling through the week. Makes it easier for me so I don't have to stress about rushing to write posts. So far you have seen the miracle of L'oreal True Match Touche Magique and Rimmel Wake Me Up, and now you can see how the Maybelline Dream Lumi  Touch Highlighting Concealer!

This concealer is very similar to the L'oreal one in the way that they are both stick brushes that you twist and apply. I have the Ivory colour of this which I think it is the lightest shade, but the shade Radient looks almost lighter. Maybelline say it's a gel like texture that diffuses light to provide on-the spot perfection, illuminates as it conceals!

I think it's a great concealer, i'm not sure it's as illuminating as the L'oreal one, just by looking at the before and after pictures you can see it has made a small amount of different but the darkness is still obvious. I do use this over the bridge of my nose to highlight and that works reasonably well.

I apply this after my foundation, so in the photos below I have used the Revlon Naked Foundation in Shell and then applied the concealer over the top under my eyes.

Before: Revlon Naked Foundation only

After: Maybelline Dream Lumi over the top

I think overall this is a decent concealer, probably better if you don't have really dark under eyes, or you are using this shade and you have darker skin than mine. The part I like the most is the packaging and the brush/pen application!

Have you tried this concealer? What are your thoughts and do you know if the Radient shade is actually lighter?

  1. I haven't tried this concealer but I've tried the Instant Age Rewind and it's really good and countering dark circles! I think it's because it's peach coloured. :)
