February Lust Have It!

Finally my Lust Have It! box arrived. Over a week after my email was received saying that it was on it's way! At least it made it here before March, just! Considering people received their boxes well into the beginning of last week I already had an idea of what i'd receive. Which was fine with me because all of the products looked like something i'd use. I was concerned about the eyeshadow people received, as lots of the colours were not something i'd wear! Let's see what I got!

1. Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive - Deluxe Sample - It exfoliates and refines to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and lighten hyperpigmentation. I don't suffer from any of these issues yet, but I was looking forward to this product as I love skincare treatments, especially exfoliants!

2. The Cosmetic Kitchen - Eyeshadow - Full Size $ 22.50 - The shade I received was 'Celebrity' which is a lovely gold colour. It reminds me of a very finer version of some MAC pigments I have. I'll be certainly giving this a try!

3. The Cosmetic Kitchen - Brush Selection - I think I received an angled blush brush, certainly looks like it! I guess I could do with another blush brush! I would have preferred an eyeshadow one though!

4. Vaseline - Ultimate 1- Anti Aging Body Lotion - I love sample size anything, and this claims to brighten and tighten skin! A win in my books! I'll be using it in my overnight bag!

5. Clairol Professional - Colour Radiance Shampoo - Helps to protect coloured hair and gently cleanses! I love travel sized anything, especially when it's not in a sachet! I'll be adding this to my overnight bag as well!

6. Clairol Professional - Transition Creative Spray - I don't use hair spray or anything like that, and I currently do have a travel sized one for those rare occasions that I need it! I guess i'll be adding this as a back up!

7. Hand Spa Bijoux - Hand Wipe - Apparently this is actually and hand mask. Provides and deep nourishing and moisturising effect. I guess i'll try this one day, i'm not in any rush to use it yet!

Eyeshadow - Celebrity

Swatched

Overall I found this box to be quite useful, it is an improvement on a previous subscription I had. I do actually prefer my Violet Box though, and in a few months I will probably re-evaluate my boxes, and choose only one!

What did you get this month? Have you used any of the products...? What about that 'hand wipe'?

Myer Beauty Talks

From February 26th until March 16th Myer is have a promotion for Myer One members. If you are a member you would have received the Beauty Talks catalogue, inside you would have received two vouchers, both 10% off. One is for you and one is to give to a friend! This is a multi use voucher that can be used at different counters and it entitles you to 10% off!

Included in the catalogue is a lot of different promotions and a few have stood out to me in particular. The first being the gift with purchase from Clinique, which I posted briefly about in my recent haul post. The second is Juicy Couture, when you purchase any Juicy Couture fragrance you receive a free beach towel! It is super cute, and the 10% off voucher can also be used! OPI also have a promotion, if you spend over $35 you get a free 15ml top coat! There are in fact a lot of awesome promotions in the catalogue these are just a few that appealed to me specifically! You can also receive all of these promotions and the discounts online, BEAUTYW14 is online code for the 10% off!

So what did I purchase from Myer? Surprisingly at the moment I have only purchased two things which I have wanted for awhile and have been using up samples so I could justify their purchase, but how can I resist 10% off!

My purchases include, the MAC Prep & Prime BB Cream and MAC lipstick in Peach Blossom. If you follow my blog you’ll know I mentioned these in my recent wish list! The SA matched me, as previously I had used the light plus shade but this was too dark, especially as the cooler months are coming and I won’t be as tanned! So my shade is light, which was the most popular shade! And did you know if you recycle 6 containers you get to choose a free lipstick from their back to MAC range?! I wish I knew this earlier!

I also tested the two new Juicy Couture fragrances whilst I was there, Juicy Couture Malibu (Orange), and Couture La La Malibu (Pink)! The pink one was my favourite, and I will seriously consider purchasing it... Hopefully I can finish two fragrances and thus justify my need!

Once again I am putting myself on a shopping ban, as I do have a few products arriving from online, and I have so many that I have bought and have only used a small amount! This blog and Beauty Heaven are turning me broke!

Let me know if you’ve picked up anything awesome from the Myer promotions!

Mascara Review - Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies

The falsies - No mascara

This is the final post in my Mascara Review series, which has been quite popular! Today’s review is the Maybelline Volum’ Express Falsies, in blackest black. Before I get on to the review, I have to say I’ve really enjoyed doing this small series, it’s helped me to write my reviews more clearly and specifically write what I like and dislike about a product. I hope you’ve enjoyed the series, and please let me know if you’d like to see more posts like these.

What they say about The Falsies: “8 times the volume and 3 times more visible lashes. Corner to corner coverage”

What I say: Now whilst I do agree that it gives a lot of volume and more visible lashes, unfortunately I do find this to clump easily, and the formula is quite thick. I also find due to the wide, curved brush it does make it hard to cover the corner lashes with getting mascara around my eyes! In saying that, this mascara is great for the low end budgets, but I have a feeling there are cheaper, better options out there, not that I have tested them all.

This mascara is probably better for students who haven’t got a lot of money to spend on mascara, but do want that ‘falsies’ look. Unlike the Benefit They’re Real, this one is really easy to remove!

top to bottom: Chanel Inimitable,
Benefit They're Real, Maybelline The Falsies

If you have read my last two posts, I think you can probably guess which mascara out of the 3 I have reviewed that I like best. It is the Chanel Inimitable Intense! Mainly because the formula is thin, and it makes my lashes really long without clumping or sticking them together. I have already repurchased this mascara, and I will continue to purchase. I can’t say that I’m likely to go out and keep trying new mascaras, as I don’t want to waste money on products. But I’m always happy to try mascaras, and hopefully I’ll get some to try in future beauty boxes!

The three mascaras I reviewed fit into three different price categories, and in the end it’s the higher end product that wins my vote!

Sigma & Clinique Haul

Last Thursday I finally ordered the Sigma Warm Neutrals Palette from Rouche Boutique! They had free shipping for orders over $50 so I also purchased a black eyeliner pencil, I don't actually have a black eyeliner pencil so that was a good excuse to purchase it!

I was really impressed with how quickly my parcel arrived, it also included a cute hand written note and a free Sigma eyeliner brush!

The palette looks gorgeous in the flesh! I haven't tried the shades yet, but they look lovely! And the palette in encased in a board box which looks really lovely! And it has a really decent sized mirror! The palette is smaller than I thought, but i'm glad because it will fit in my overnight bag quite nicely! I can't wait to try all the shades and do a full review for you!

I started getting low on my Clinique moisturiser, and luckily for me today Myer advertised a gift with purchase! I ended up purchasing the Intense moisturiser not the extended one, as my skin is a little dry at the moment and heading into the cooler months I can expect it will get drier! So i'm happy to try this one out.

The gift with purchase is great, includes the 'Take the day off makeup remover' (which I have used already and love!), 'Dramitcally different moisturising lotion', 'repairwear laser focus smooths, restores, corrects', 'Repairwear uplifiting firming cream', Quickliner for eyes intense' (now i have two black eyeliners!), 'All about shadow duo', 'High impact lip color'.

I'm pretty excited to try all of these! I've already tried the makeup remover and I love it! It feels really soothing and doesn't sting my eyes!

I think if you want to sample some of Clinique's favourite products this is the perfect opportunity! The pack is yours with orders over $60!

I also bought the Biore facewipes today which i've never tried before, and the Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer!

February Violetbox!

Today my Violetbox arrived about a week after I received the tracking email, for those of you who are not yet aware of this box. It's a beauty sample box, you pay $24.95 a month for a selection of between 5-7 samples, varying from cosmetics to skincare. This is my second Violetbox and so far I have been really impressed with the items, a lot better than Bellabox!

This months box had 6 items, and 2 of them were full size! Let's see what's in the box!

1. Red Carpet Kolour in Medium: Sample size- This is an all over body glow body lotion, supposedly provides a glowing coverage over imperfections such as pigmentations, veins, cellulite, stretch marks etc. It is not a self tan product. So i'm guessing it's like a bronzer? Sounds interesting! I'll definitely try it!

2. Nuxe Creme Nirvanesque: Samples Size - smoothes, de-stresses, relaxes expression lines. So like a moisturiser that smoothes lines? I'm not sure but i'll try it!

3. Be a Bombshell "The one stick" Full size $21 - This is my favourite product out of the box, it's a lovely pink colour and can be applied anywhere! Eyes, Lips, Cheeks etc!

4. Wotnot natural organic facial wipes: Sample Size - The first natural face wipes to cleanse, soothe and hydrate the skin! I love makeup wipes! And I love this that are really natural so i'm looking forward to trying this!

5. Aphelia Oasis Acne Solution: Sample Size - A herbal acne solution! Penetrates fast to deliver rapid acne-fighting. Ok I don't suffer from acne, but I do get the occasional hormonal blemish, so i'll definitely try it on those and see what happens!

6. Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon: Full size $19 (Trophy Wife) - A glossy lip crayon. This is a lovely light pink colour, and you can apply it sparingly for a more sheer coverage! My second favourite product from this box! And it's definitely better than the Bellabox crayon, more my shade!

There you have this months box! What do you think?
What did you receive in your box this month?

Mascara Series - Benefit They're Real

The first post in my mascara series had a really a lot of responses, which is really great! And at the end of the series I will let you know which one is my favourite.

So next up in the series is the ever so popular Benefit They’re Real, which retails for about $38! Originally I thought that it was ridiculous that there was so much hype around this mascara, especially as there is not a benefit counter in my state so I didn’t really understand the hype. When shopping in Melbourne just before Christmas I decided to cave and purchase the mascara to see what all the hype was about.

They're Real - No mascara

They're Real - No mascara

Let me start with what Benefit say about their #1 product! It lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!

I do agree with these claims, it does lengthen, curl and volumize, it does also separate the lashes! I also know that it definitely doesn’t smudge, in fact it is quite difficult to remove at the end of the day, there is always traces left the next morning!

The wand of this mascara is quite good; it is reasonably wide and is straight. I do find it hard to get into the corners of my lashes though, without a big chunk ending up in my eye.

I’d say this mascara is great for anyone who wants the added length and volumization and is happy to spend a little extra then they would on a typical drug store mascara.

Overall I can understand the hype, I’m glad I gave it a try. But I’m not sure I can get pass the difficulty in removing it. I will keep experimenting and trying to figure out the best way to remove it without having to cleanse my face 5 times!

Do you think They’re Real lives up to the hype? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this mascara!

Mascara Review Series - Chanel Inimitable Intense

As part of my new review series, i'm going to be reviewing the 3 mascaras that i currently use on rotation. I am starting with the Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara because this was my holy grail mascara for about 2 years! I requested this for several Birthdays and Christmases, and I also purchased it duty free in Dubai.

Firstly I'm going to tell you what Chanel says about their mascara:
In a single stroke, this mascara delivers it all: volume, length, curl and precise separation. A sophisticated formula and unique brush design combine to deliver lush, long-wearing colour so precisely that each lash, even the finest, is perfectly defined and separated.

What do I think? I have to agree that this mascara does add volume, length and it does curl and most importantly to me it also separates the lashes! This is the only mascara that I have ever worn where someone has commented on my lashes, it was my Mum and she asked if I was wearing fake lashes. I wasn't, just the Inimitable mascara!

To prove to you just how great it is, I have provided a picture of my lashes, one set with Inimitable, and the other set with nothing. You can see just from this picture that my lashes are significantly longer and very separated. This mascara was the waterproof version, and i did apply a few coats because this one is nearing the end of it's life. I have already purchased a replacement!

Inimitable - No mascara

Stay tuned for the next part of my Mascara series! Is there anything you'd like to see me feature a review on?

My shopping experience with Recreate Yourself

Yesterday I posted about hair care products including my recent purchase from Recreate Yourself. Today I wanted to dedicated my post to my experience purchasing from RY. Firstly I have been eyeing off the GHD Wonderland Air Hair Dryer for months now, and when I googled it, RY came up as a stockist. I thought it was a great website because it was reasonably cheaper than purchasing the product in store or on other websites and they offer free shipping over $99. Whilst I was on the website I also looked up what other products they had! They have an extensive range of skincare, cosmetics and hair products! I was especially impressed with the Dermalogica range; it was reasonably cheaper than other sites and they had a great selection of products. I also have to add the RY has an actual store located in Queensland, in Burleigh Heads! This was another great aspect for me because it wasn’t just an online store; they are also listed as a reputable supplier of GHD products! Another win.

So after saving for months I finally had enough to purchase my Hair Dryer, I was really really excited about this purchase! I also wanted to take the opportunity to search their hair care range and purchase a new shampoo. After searching and googling reviews, I chose Goldwell Dualsense Rich Repair. As my order was over $99 the postage was free! I placed my order on February 11 and it arrived February 17. That included a weekend, so I am pretty impressed with how quickly it arrived! My shampoo was boxed up inside my GHD box along with two samples, one Dermalogica one and one RY nail file. I have to say I was pleased to see the shampoo lid was sticky taped! I always hear horror stories of shampoo leaking, and I really didn’t want that to happen.

Here I have listed the benefits of shopping with RY:
  • -         Free Shipping over $99
  • -        Two free samples with every order
  • -        Price match guarantee
  • -        120 Days Hassle Free Returns
  • -        100% Authentic & Fresh Stock

Overall I was really impressed with my experience and from now on I will be looking at RY first when deciding to purchase new products! I love the range and the discounted price!

Share your shopping experience with RY! Or do you have an even better online store you shop at?

My tools for gorgeous hair

The reason I have never posted my hair routine is mainly because I am not 100% happy with it. My hair is really fine, so it breaks quite easily and I have annoying flyaways. I also used to straighten my hair everyday, now not so much anymore. So my hair needs some loving, to fix the flyaways and stop it from breaking so easily. I'm going to start the post with the current products I use, and finish with what i've purchased to try and help me get gorgeous hair.

Shampoo & Conditioner

I’ll start with my shampoo – at the moment it’s a mix between Toni & Guy Cleansing shampoo for fine hair and Head and Shoulders scalp care in Apple Fresh, and Clear Scalp & Hair Shampoo. So the head and shoulders one is mainly being used because I’m trying to use up all of my old shampoos and this one is good for occasional use to help with the occasional try scalp caused by my hair dryer (that’s what I’ve decided). I purchased the Toni & Guy shampoo because it’s meant to give some volume to fine hair, which it does and I love it for that, but it’s not helping with my brittle hair and doesn’t feel moisturising. I use this one most days and occasionally the Head and Shoulders one. I have to wash my hair everyday because it just becomes dull and looks greasy if I don’t. Occasionally I won’t wash it, but I’ll wear it up along with some dry shampoo. I used to use the Clear one a lot, but i got over it. It didn't seem to be making my hair any different!

Next up conditioner – I use conditioner mainly to stop my hair from becoming really knotty and impossible to brush, as its fine it does knot up easily! At the moment I’m using up my John Freida Brilliant Brunette Shine conditioner, which is nearly empty. I really love this conditioner because it does add shine to my hair. I don’t use it every day, just when I know I’ll be out in the sun and want some added shine. Again I love it, but it doesn’t help my situation at all. I am also using the Toni & Guy Leave in conditioner – this is great because it does help to untangle my hair and ensure it doesn’t become as knotted. But with the current hair dryer I use, it takes forever to dry when I use conditioner.

Styling Products

Styling Products– Currently the only treatment type products I use is the L’Oreal ELvive Extraordinary Oil -  I use this before blow drying my hair to help protect it from the heat and also to try and reduce the frizz and keep it soft. It does work really nicely, my hair always feels soft after using it, but I still use my Lee Stafford Poker Straight Heat Protecting spray for added protection. I have also just started to put the oil on my hair after towel drying, and wrapping my hair up in a micro fibre hair towel and leaving it while i continue getting dressed and doing my make up etc. I have noticed this has made my hair a lot softer!

Hair dryer – I have been using a travel size GHD hair dryer for about 4 years now. It has been great to use, but I feel that I need to upgrade to something bigger that will dry my hair quicker.
Currently I don’t use any hair masks, I do have a few Clairol samples that I have been using, but I haven’t used anything else. So if you can recommend a mask or similar treatment for hydrating hair or preventing breakages that would be great! I'm considering a Goldwell one or Toni & Guy.

New products! Goldwell Dual Senses Rich Repair
GHD Wonderland Air Hair Dryer

Now let’s move onto the exciting new products I have purchased to help combat my issue. The GHD Wonderland Air Hair Dryer! From what I know the Wonderland is the same as the original Air Hair Dryer, it just has a pretty blue/purple design that changes colour! I am so very excited for this, I featured it in my wish list post a few months ago and I finally saved up enough that I can justify spending $180 on a hair dryer. It retails for $199 but I purchased it from Ry.com.au for just under $180. It supposedly provides salon quality styling that will leave your hair soft and smooth! From the reviews I’ve read people who have bought this will never purchase another brand again. I can’t wait to do a proper review on it in a month or so!

I also took the opportunity to purchase a new shampoo also, the Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair Cream Shampoo. This shampoo is targeted at dull, dry, damaged and stressed hair from every day heat styling. From the reviews I have read it has provided moisture to hair and has left hair feeling soft and smooth! So I’m really excited to try this, and apparently the 60sec mask is even better! So i may have to purchase that too!

Hopefully these two new products will help turn my brittle hair into fabulous hair!  They only arrived today so I haven't had a chance to try them out yet! Please let me know if you have any other products you think I should try!

You may have also noticed i changed my blog name, the name of my previous blog was a random choice and was named after my favourite nail polish colour. I decided to personalize it more, and make it more about me!

February Lust List

I decided it was time I posted another lust/wish list as yesterday was Valentine’s Day I thought it was perfect for posting about the products I’m lusting for. My wish list for 2014 hasn’t changed, I have purchased a few of the items but I’m still holding off on others you can read about that here.

Sigma Warm Neutrals Palette – I have been admiring this palette for awhile, ever since I saw it featured on Tiffany D’s blog. Recently the lovely Sarah from More Than Adored wrote a review about it and I loved it even more, particularly when I discovered it is possible to get in Australia at Rouche Boutique, at the moment their website is giving me grief so I can’t purchase it. But what I love about this palette is the shade selection; there is a mix of matte and shimmer shades as well as light browns and darker colours. I’m particularly interested in the cranberry shade! I’ll be putting money aside for this palette!

MAC Peach Blossom Lipstick – I bought a sample of this lipstick from the body needs 2, and I am so glad I gave it a try. It’s a fantastic colour and an even better formula! It doesn’t dry out my lips and is very smooth; I love the shade because it’s like my lips but better! I’ll definitely be buying the full size of this in the near future!

MAC Painterly Paint Pot – Again another sample I purchased from the body needs 2. I love this because it’s the perfect base, it’s not too dark and not too light, the perfect shade for my skin colour. It also works really well with my E.L.F primer and also matte and shimmer shades. I will be purchasing a full size of this when I finish up the sample. It has lasted me quite a few months and I use it at least 5 days a week!

MAC Prep & Prime BB Cream – Also another sample, I seriously wish there was more of it in the sample container! But I will be buying a full size of this. Probably when I finish up my Max Factor CC Cream, even though I don’t really fancy that one, it’s the only way I can justify the $45 for the BB Cream! Hopefully MAC at Myer has another sale again like they did a few months ago! But this is truly amazing, Beauty Heaven recently had a Trial Team for the compact and the liquid, and you can read the awesome reviews here.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder – Whenever everyone else was raving about this in their 2013 Favourites I wasn’t really keen on it, I didn’t really want it, mainly because of the price. But the more I read about it the more I began to like it and want it. I would probably purchase this the next time I go to Melbourne and can get to a Mecca Cosmetica/Maxima store so I can swatch it and see for myself.

NARS Orgasm or Super Orgasm Blush – I didn’t really see the fuss about this product either, until I saw it featured in bloggers 2013 Favourites. I read some more reviews and began to love it even more, and then I realised you can purchase it from Mecca Cosmetic, so again I will probably purchase this the next time I go to Melbourne or close to a Mecca store. I only have 3 Blushes so I can justify this purchase ;)

So that’s my February Lust/Wish List, do you have any of these products or do you lust after them as much as I do?

Review: Maybelline Express Remover

I've been a bit slack with my posts lately! I've just been really busy and i've been trying to use a few different products so i have something i can share with you. Today I'm posting about the first time i used the new Maybelline Express Remover, a dip in remover. I don't know of any other removers like this that are available in Australia, please let me know if there is. I know Sephora has a similar one but i forgot to pick one up when i was away! I was very intrigued to try the Maybelline Express Remover when i saw it came out, and i bought this from Priceline on sale for $8.45.

Foam inside

This is the outside of the container and the inside, which you can see has a foam inside that is filled with remover. The idea is that you dip your finger into the hole in the middle of the foam and then you twist your finger around and when you remove it there will be no polish left on the nail!

As you can see once the finger was removed there is no polish left! It is so quick to use and very effective! If you want a quick easy solution to removing nail polish you should definitely buy this!

Have you used this remover or a similar one?

Liebster Award

I woke up this morning to discover i have been nominated for The Liebster Award by Sam D at Beautyrapt. I had been nominated before but i didn't really understand the concept so i just left it alone. But since i've been nominated again i thought i'd do some googling and find out what the deal is.

The Liebster Award originated in Germany and the idea is to help readers discover new blogs, originally it was for bloggers with less than 3000 followers now it's less than 200 followers. You give the nominees a set of questions to answer and then they answer the question and forward on a new set of questions to at least 5-11 bloggers. I will probably only nominate about 5 bloggers as most of the people i follow have well over 200 followers. So here are the questions i got from Sam, thanks Sam!

1) What is your most worn nail polish?
Chanel Peach Nacree, a lovely peachy colour that lasts forever! Great quality this polish!

2) Coffee, tea or hot chocolate?
This is a hard choice, i'm a tea addict but i love coffee too :(

3) Would you rather buy makeup or skincare?
Probably skincare, as i use makeup to cover up blemishes and uneven skin tone etc, so if i had good skincare this wouldn't happen.

4) What is your favourite season?
Probably the seasons in between summer and winter as it's not too hot and it's not freezing cold either.

5) What is your most loved makeup product?
My Urban Decay Naked 2 palette! I use it everyday!

6) What are your favourite online shopping websites?
probably adorebeauty.com.au, iherb.com and lucyinthesky.com.au (an aussie fashion site)

7) What would you say is your biggest personality flaw?
I am too nice!!

8) If you had to pick only one, would you rather wear eyeliner or mascara?
Mascara, i can go without eyeliner quite easily!

9) What is one skincare product you cannot live without?
Moisturiser! Keeps my face nice and hydrated!

10) Are you a morning, afternoon, or evening person?
I'd say nowadays i'm a morning person as i like getting up and feeling refreshed! I'm always tired towards the afternoon and the evening!

11) What is one thing most people would never guess about you?
I have an addiction to Jelly Beans! I can quite easily eat a 150g bag in an hour or so! Sugar high!

My nominees are:

indieanna1.blogspot.com
lynseylashes.blogspot.com

hellomandyhello.blogspot.com.au
beautywithlily.blogspot.com
lemonmel.blogspot.com

These bloggers i follow on bloglovin, and i love their posts! :)

My questions are:
1. Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
2. What's your favourite eye product?
3. What can't you live without?
4. Would you rather holiday on a tropical island or the big city?
5. Who do you admire the most?
6. How long have you been blogging for?
7. What's your favourite scent?
8. Where do you buy most of your cosmetics and skincare?
9. If you could only use one product for the rest of your life what would it be?
10. How many lipsticks do you own?
11. What foundation do you wear?

Budget Beauty Buys

Budget beauty buys:

I haven’t posted in awhile, due to being really busy and also because I’ve been waiting for new things to arrive so I have something to post about, like my beauty boxes! So to make up for the lack of posts i'm doing two posts today! The first was the January Lust Have It! Box and now a budget beauty buys post. I want to show you that it is possible to buy decent products and cheap prices! All of these products are easy to get, from Priceline, Coles and iherb.

Dirty Works Body Butter: I actually accidentally purchased this; I meant to pick up the exfoliating scrub, which I might purchase another time. This was on sale for about $7, usually around $9 and it’s exclusively at Coles, or you can purchase online I think. It has similar packaging to the brand Soap & Glory which I haven’t used before, but this is not as expensive This body butter is made with Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oil, I usually don’t buy body butters because I find them far too thick and they don’t absorb as well as I like, like The Body Shop body butters! This one is actually really soft and fluffy, more like a thick lotion and it absorbs really well! I started using it a night only, and then I tried it at day time which was just as good! The scent makes you think it’s really expensive, and I can still smell it during the day so if you don’t like that you might want to just use it at night.  Overall this is a great product that won’t break the budget!

Essence silky touch blush: I have posted about this before, and I still love it! Mainly because it is ridiculously cheap ($4!) and is awesome quality! The colour pay off is pretty good, you don’t need to swish your brush around too much; I usually just tap it in there and swipe it onto my cheeks! It does last pretty much most of the day on top of my makeup which is really great! I really love it, and I would highly recommend you buy this if you’re after a new blush! They are available at Priceline and Target and there is a selection of colours and this is shade #50 Sweetheart which is a lovely natural pink colour.

E.L.F Liquid Lipstick: I mentioned this product in my recent haul from iHerb, it is ridiculously awesome! At first I only liked one of the shades I bought, Pink Lemonade, but Strawberry has recently grown on me. The texture is really nice as it’s not too sticky and lasts awhile on the lips. It also has a lovely peppermint scent! These are available for about $1.99 on iherb and postage is also really cheap starting at $4! Seriously check them out!

E.L.F Eye Primers: I have two of their eye primers from iHerb, Eyelid Primer and Mineral Eyeshadow. I haven’t found much of a difference between the two, I have worn them on separate eyes at the same time and on both eyes at different times. It depends on how much eyeshadow I wear on top of them as to how well the shades last. For example, if I layer eyeshadow on a fair bit it will last longer than if I just swiped one layer across the eyes. But they definitely last longer than if I didn’t have the primer, and even longer if I use a primer and a base such as MAC Painterly Paint Pot. These are also ridiculously cheap like the liquid lipsticks at around $1.99 also.

Face of Australia Base Primer: This is the most expensive item in my budget list, at around $11.95. This primer is great because it’s oil free and contains Vitmamin E. I have posted about it before, but in case you didn’t know already this product is a fantastic dupe for the Napolen Perdis Auto Pilot Primer which is now around $50! It has the near exact ingredients bar one product that’s a little different. I think if you’re after a primer but don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount; this is the perfect product for you to try!

I hope you have learnt from my post that there are cheap items out there that aren’t crap, and are pretty decent! Especially if you’re on a budget or are a beginner starting out! Give these products a go! What have you got to lose?!

January Lust Have It Box!

Finally the January Lust Have It box arrived! Although it was only a few weeks ago that i received the December one it still feels like forever ago!! I am super impressed with the box, a few brands i haven't tried and a few of my favourite products! Only one full size product, and this box was the Jan 14 E box.

1. Invisible Zinc tinted day wear:  Full size - A 3 in 1 sunscreen, moisturizer and foundation! I received the shade medium, so it will interesting to see if it's too dark for me. I may have to give it away if it is!

2. Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel: Deluxe sample size - exfoliates the skin's surface and fade signs of sun damage. I'm guessing this will be similar to the ASAP Clearskin gel which i love.

3. Simple Kind Facial Wipes: 7wipes - I have used these before, lots of times actually. So they'll be handy for my overnight bag.

4. Benefit They're Real: Sample size - I was excited to get this! Although i already have a full size one, you can never have too many products you love!

5. Davroe Colour Sense Ends Repair: Sample size - A leave in treatment to protect and sea the ends of your hair to illuminate the colour. Sounds interesting! I'll try it for sure!

6. Aveda dry remedy daily moisturising oil: Sample size - A very very small sample! But it is an oil! I'm not sure what it does, but i'll look into it. It's an oil for hair though!

Overall i am pretty happy! Quite a few products i have never tried nor heard of, so that's great because that's what i've bought the box for! Can't wait for the February box which should arrive in a few weeks i guess!

What box did you get?
